Rehab / Post-Surgery
The purpose of rehabilitation is to restore some or all of your physical, sensory and mental capabilities that were lost due to injury, illness or disease. A proper and adequate rehabilitation program can reverse many disabling conditions or can help you cope with deficits that cannot be reversed by medical care. Rehabilitation addresses your physical, psychological, and environmental needs. It is achieved by restoring your physical functions and/or modifying your physical and social environment. The main types of rehabilitation are physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Each rehabilitation program is tailored to the individual’s care needs and can include one or more types of therapy. A rehabilitation team is usually multidisciplinary as it involves staff with different skills working together to help the patient. This includes physicians trained in rehabilitation medicine, clinical pharmacists, nursing staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, orthotists and caregivers.
Effective care strategies can help improve strength, range of motion, motor functions, safety, and address emotional health issues. 24/7 Kare4Me has extensive experience in helping individuals with their rehabilitation program. We offer free training of our Qualified Caregivers with you or your loved one’s Occupational or Physical Therapist. By assisting with ADLs and providing supervision you’ll rest easy knowing that your loved one is in great hands. Additionally, with our “You Only Pay for What You Use” policy, you can change you schedule at any time without any penalty.
